English commentary: The review is declaring, that the present work contains a controversy about the system of Spinoza between Jacobi and Mendelssohn. Jacobi is at one's own option no Spinozist, because of declaring a rational and personal cause. Nevertheless he legitimates the system of Spinoza in a letter to a French philosopher Hemsterhuis. The correspondence broach the issue of this ambivalence in the thinking of Jacobi.
